We like our customers to know what a perfume actually costs and how it is made. By showing you the prices of the perfume oil, the bottle, the packaging, you get an idea of what is happening in the perfumery world.
Product Transparency
In our commitment to excellence, we blend safe synthetics and natural ingredients, allowing you to enjoy complex, high-quality perfumes at transparent, honest prices. The safety and health hazards of perfumery ingredients are regulated by IFRA. Our perfume formulations are all vegan and as biodegradable as possible, and we use natural alcohol, the average concentrations in alcohol are:
- 12 to 14% = Eau de Toilette
- 14 to 18% = Eau de Parfum
- 20% and above = Extrait de Parfum
Our ‘Eau de Rebelle’ a 50ml Eau de Parfum with 18% perfume blend in alcohol, means : it contains 9ml of the perfume creation (which will contain approx. 80+ individual perfumery ingredients).
In our pursuit of "less is more" and sustainability, we initially aimed to create 100% natural perfumes. However, these natural perfumes lack the complexity and diffusion power expected in modern perfumery. Synthetic molecules have been used in perfumes since the 1920s, significantly enhancing perfume creativity. Chemists can replicate the natural chemicals found in flowers, herbs, woods. A perfumer today has access to around 2000+ ingredients of which approximately 80% are synthetics. Fully natural fine fragrances are rare and often linked to aromatherapy/wellness. All well known prestige and niche perfumes contain synthetic/nature identical ingredients. There is a lot of greenwashing, where design, imagery, and ingredient names create the illusion of naturalness.
